Can I bill insurance for the MeiboVue images?
In the U.S. market, the following CPT codes are typically used for meibography:
- 92285: External ocular photography with interpretation and report—documentation of medical progress.
- 0507T: Near-infrared dual imaging (i.e., simultaneous reflective and transilluminated light) of meibomian glands, unilateral or bilateral, with interpretation and report.

What is the Warranty?
MeiboVue comes with a one-year full warranty against manufacturer defects.
If the device develops an issue during the warranty period, please contact us. We will provide troubleshooting instructions and send spare parts to assist you in repairing the device.
If the device is out of warranty, we will charge a reasonable fee for replacement parts or arrange a pickup for repair and return shipping.

- Description of the issue
- Photos and/or videos illustrating the problem
We will respond to your request within 24 hours via email.
How long does it take to install the Meibovue?
No installation is needed. Once you receive the device and smartphone, simply follow the quick user guide and begin using it immediately.
Does Meibovue use smartphone’s camera?
No. MeiboVue is a standalone camera. The smartphone serves as the screen for live preview and image capture.
How do I capture images with MeiboVue?
You can either tap the capture button on the smartphone screen or short-press the switch button on the device to take a photo.
How about data safety and privacy for MeiboVue?
MeiboVue works with VisuDoc software, which includes both a mobile app and PC software (compatible with both Windows and Mac). The VisuDoc PC software is installed locally on the user's computer, meaning that all patient data is stored securely on the user's device. No third parties, including VisuScience, have access to this data.
