How to Export MeiboVue Images from VisuDoc for EMR Upload

When you capture MeiboVue images during an exam, saving them to the patient’s EMR can make them easier to find at the next visit. With VisuDoc, you can download selected images to a designated folder and then upload them to the appropriate patient record in your EMR.
The download folder and image annotation options in this guide require VisuDoc version 2.1.0.22 or above. If you’re using an earlier version, update VisuDoc before following the steps below.
1. Create a folder for exported images Create a folder named VisuDoc Images on your desktop, or choose a folder your clinic already uses for preparing files for EMR upload. Using a consistent location helps staff find the exported images when they’re ready to attach them to a patient record.
2. Set your download preferences in VisuDoc In VisuDoc, go to Settings → Preferences → Download. Choose your export folder and enable both download options shown on the preferences page.
The image annotation option can add exam details such as the examination date, device name, eye laterality (OS or OD), and upper or lower lid information, where applicable. These details help staff identify an image after it leaves VisuDoc.
3. Select and download the images you need Open the patient’s details page in VisuDoc. Select the MeiboVue images you want to include in the record, then click the Download icon in the bottom-right corner. VisuDoc saves the selected images to the folder you configured.
Before moving on, open the folder and check that the exported files match the images you selected.
4. Upload the images to the patient’s EMR record Open the correct patient record in your EMR. Use its image or attachment upload function to select the files from your download folder. Once the upload is complete, verify that the images appear in the intended record.
