We are glad to share a vet case study captured by QuikVue eye imaging adaptor from Dr Vet Viroux.

A large epidermoid carcinoma affecting a significant part of the lower right eyelid in a 12-year-old European cat. Surgical management with a "Lid-To-Lid" or "angularis oris" flap was performed, aiming to reconstruct the eyelid margin using a free labial edge. The advantages of such a flap are the use of tissue similar to the eyelid for reconstruction, the use of a vascularized graft, and the ability to reconstruct large defects. Complications include dehiscence, superinfection, or flap necrosis. Discomfort during mouth opening may also occur if the excision is too extensive.
