QuikVue Vet Case Share - infected corneal ulcer

We are glad to share a vet case study captured by QuikVue eye imaging adaptor from Dr. Allison Fuchs.

Progress post! Swipe for the before. This dog has been undergoing treatment for an infected corneal ulcer that got quite deep at one area, and surgery was not a feasible option for their family. Fortunately this patient was good for eye drops and had a robust corneal vascular response, and we were able to manage this medically.

She was treated with a combination of topical and oral antibiotics to clear the infection, topical serum eye drops to encourage wound healing, and pain medication. Once the infection was resolved, her body was able to fill that area in nicely and now she has a small scar, which will fade with time.
