QuikVue Vet Case Study—Fungal Keratitis in a Horse

We are glad to share a vet case study captured by QuikVue eye imaging adaptor from Dr. Allison Fuchs.

Slow progress is still progress! We have been treating this horse for almost 2 weeks. He is an older gentleman, and many of our older patients have metabolic issues that contribute to slow wound healing. This horse also had fungal hyphae on his corneal cytology, which is evidence of fungal infection. Fungal keratitis in horses can very serious and difficult to treat. Thankfully this guy seems to be responding. We are hopeful with more time and continued medical therapy that we’ll get to the other side before too much longer.
